MES School Uniform Policy for 2009 - 2010
Mandated school uniforms are as follows:
SHIRTS (boys or girls):
- White or Navy Blue polo style shirt with a collar (with or without school logo)
- School logo t-shirt
PANTS (boys or girls):
- Solid tan khaki cotton twill; NO capri or cargo pants are allowed.
SHORTS (boys or girls)/SKORTS (girls):
- Solid tan khaki cotton twill
SKIRTS (girls):
- Solid tan khaki cotton twill; NO JUMPERS
Check parish policy on shoes and winter wear. The
school logo shirts may be purchased through the school office. All other uniform items can be purchased at retail stores.
Locally-owned options include:
- Wild Stiches
- A&B Sport
- Northshore Images in Stiches
Exemption Process: Anyone wishing to apply for an exemption must contact Mrs. Spencer in writing.
Uniforms must be worn at all times. Notices to parents will be sent if a student is out of uniform.
Caps and hats are banned from school campuses during regular school hours. Caps worn to school during cold
weather should be placed in book bags or with jackets during class.
Madisonville Elementary jackets can be worn in school buildings. Jackets bearing any other color or design may not be worn in class.
A solid navy blue sweater or jacket is acceptable.
